Lemon and Gold

Lemon and Gold

Lemon and Gold is a Sector generated using the Cepheus Engine rules. It can now be downloaded from its own downloads page.

The Lemon and Gold, Rosalis Cluster, Fantana Spur, and Trans Dolovia sectors are also known as the Palexanda Domain.

The download includes a huge PNG-image (4231 x 5305 pixels), and two text-files with the UWPs and the XML-data.

In this sector there are a number of small pocket empires. There is also the Gebbebem Hive that is problematic for the pocket empires. On a number of worlds close to the Gebbebem Hive, the human population has been exterminated by Gebbebem raiders. The pocket empires recaptured these worlds and killed all the Gebbebem living there. There is now an unsteady peace. Lots of war ships are protecting the human worlds close to the Gebbebem border.

You can read more about the Gebbebem in Cepheus Journal issue #003.

Most of subsector P (Demosalia) belong to the quite large Neo Empire. The planet Sche in Demosalia Subsector is the homeplanet of the Sche, an aquatic race. The Sche weigh about 1600 kg. They have a tough exoskeleton but are still very good swimmers. They use tentacles for manipulating objects (and catching pray). You may find a few Sche on other worlds with water in this subsector.

In subsector D (Palexanda Nebula) there is a spectacular nebula with clouds of dust and gas, which is a stellar nursery full of embryonic stars.

Lemon and Gold Sector can also be found at The Traveller Map.

Cepheus Journal Issue #004

Cepheus Journal Issue #004Welcome to issue #004 of the Cepheus Journal, the thickest issue yet at 56 pages. In this issue, many settings are represented: Historical, Modern and Science Fiction.

For historical settings we have an article about smuggling and piracy in the 18th century and some cog travelling in the middle ages (both from the editorial team.)

For a modern setting, there is a Chinese infantry squad by Ewan Spence.

For science fiction settings we have two articles about close stars. 40 Eridani by Randy McDonald and Altair Subsector by Neil Lucock. Neil also wrote an article about Ship Damage.  For the new (Dune inspired) Science Fiction Setting Godstar from Zozer Games, Neil Lucock has supplied a short adventure. Finally we also have part 2 of Helzr’s Recovery that started in issue #001.

Cepheus Journal Issue #004 can be downloaded from the downloads page.

Cepheus Journal Issue #003

Cepheus Journal Issue #003

DownloadCepheus Journal Issue #003 the third issue of Cepheus Journal. The theme for this issue is the Closest Stars. There is an article about Alpha Centauri and another one about Tau Ceti. There is also an article about Vega Subsector about a number of nearby worlds, based on the Near Stars map from Stellagama Publishing.

There are also some rules for Sword of Cepheus, rules for Factions, a Vietnamese Rifle Platoon for Modern War, a review of These Stars are Ours! and a Provincial Cruiser that you can find in the Vega Subsector.

Finally there are three very different alien races. The Quarlon is a parasitic virus that will take over its host sophont. The Gebbebem is an insectoid race in a symbiotic relationship with a worm-like creature that acts as it brain.

The last race is the Nissi. A race that was inspired by the Nisse from  Scandinavian Folklore. When editing this issue, there wasn’t room for the image of the Nissi (and a few other images as well). This is what they look like (if you can see them).

We want to thank all of you who have sent in submissions, and if your submission isn’t in this issue, it will be in a later issue.

Cepheus Journal Issue #003 can be downloaded from the downloads page.

Trans Dolovia Sector

Trans Dolovia

Trans Dolovia is a Sector generated using the Cepheus Engine rules. It can now be downloaded from the downloads page.

The download includes a huge PNG-image (4227 x 5305 pixels), and two text-files with the UWPs and the XML-data.

Most of the worlds of the Sector belong to the Neo Empire. The Neo Empire has recently fought a war against the Gebbebem Hive. The Gebbebem conquered a number of systems. The Neo Empire reconquered four systems (Zhanie, Vondra, Smine and Nadimitch) and exterminated all “bugs” that lived there. These four systems are now patrolled by large naval units from the Neo empire to prevent that the Gebbebem Hive spreads further.

In the Sector there are two very bright stars called Scyllisa and Margelinda.
